8 M, 8 F (young actors)
August, 1987: the last summer of camp for sixteen hopeful soon-to-be ninth-graders. Things are not going as planned–it rains every day, cabin-mates are fighting, and the counselors are nowhere to be found. When a prank goes wrong, it ruins the dance and any hope of a half-decent Color War. This was supposed to be the best summer, so now what? A play about scheduling your first kiss, trying to be the MVP before the competition even begins, and finding the possibility of joy in the worst of circumstances.
