The NY Post said:
“Monica Flory's Afterlight is more ambitious.  There's much here to admire -- especially the beautifully drawn characters, superbly played by the fine ensemble. Afterlight could well have a successful afterlife.”  Read the entire review here.

Time Out New York said:
“Monica Flory's engaging Afterlight takes place at twilight, but don't expect any vampires prowling about. Instead, Flory invokes elements of magical realism to tell three stories about characters struggling with transitions…Flory's characters have the pluck and emotional weight to hold you captive.”  Read the entire review here.

"…witty dialogue with an ear for character, plus strong performances from a multi-generational cast…Afterlight is a meditative evening of theatre…heavy on introspection and charm."  Read the entire review here.

Full-length

8 M, 8 F (young actors)

August, 1987: the last summer of camp for sixteen soon-to-be ninth-graders.  Everything is going wrong--it rains every day, everyone is fighting, and the counselors are nowhere to be found.  A prank gone wrong has ruined the dance and any hope of a half-decent Color War.  This was supposed to be the best summer, so now what?  A play about trying to schedule your first kiss, planning the world's funniest prank, and finding the possibility of joy in the worst of circumstances.
