One Last Ride
One Last Ride is a musical about high school Seniors who go to visit a beloved, mystical rollercoaster on a camping trip right before graduation. They meet a group of seasonal workers who challenge their ideas about success, community, and their own futures as they struggle to say goodbye to each other and their childhoods.
A story about reliving memories, finding the magic in chaos, and being in the middle, together.
Spencer Lutvak’s score is a refreshing, guitar-driven mix of solos, trios, and ensemble numbers. The humor and pathos of the songs mirrors the ups and downs of the rollicking roller coaster ride of their trip. The indie rock score ranges from sweet to raucous, a satisfyingly eclectic collection that supports and highlights younger voices.
Cast of 12 to 17 performers of any gender, plus an optional chorus. Written for high school, college, and camp companies, with songs built to highlight younger voices.
